September 2015

In Classical Conversations this year we are studying Ancient Times.  So it was perfect timing for the Durham Museum to have their Ancient Egypt display.  We enjoyed our family field trip to kick off September.
Working together to build thier own pyramid.

Evelyn loves books and I love her toes.

Anthony is helping to set the table by getting everyone thier water.

We bought Mr. Sketch smelly markers.  Evelyn was testing the smell of each one.

After a busy and fun summer we made sometime in Sept to hit the pond for some fishing.

...and some frog catching.

The most non-relaxing part of fishing is keeping Thomas from jumping in the water.  :)

oh, the love.

the dirt of summer bliss.

I felt the need to capture the first tantrum of Evelyn's life.  It is difficult to come inside for bath and bedtime when you are having so much fun outside.   But when this reaction happens you know you made the right decision becuase it is, in fact, time for bed.

Thomas broke out in hives one morning.  Sweet boy kept itching and yelling, it seemed more out of annoyance than pain.  It started on his face but then moved all over his arms, neck and back.

I gave him 10 mLs of Zyrtec and with in 5 mins they dissapeared.  It's amazing how that works.
Another trip to the park....
Showing mom her climbing skills

A beautiful night at the Pius X homecoming game.  It's always fun to see family, old friends and my niece marching in the band.
Husker game day!  We didn't have tickets to the game but it's still a lot of fun to be at the stadium to enjoy the sites and sounds of Husker football.  There is a lot to do at the Family Fun Zone!

I promised myself that I would pull this picture out when the Huskers played Michigan or Michigan State.  Grace insists on rooting for them since she was born there...

When Dad's away the little man of the house steps into his role as Sunday morning pancake maker.

Watching Grace's hamster, Peanut, roll around on the floor.

We were lucky to get new carpet this past summer.   Which meant that we also needed knew vents but until our new ones arrived Thomas was able to enjoy his new-found, favorite relaxation spot...

Brownies for fun Mom and Anthony time together while the girls were at Little Flowers.

Our September CC field trip to the Aksarban Aquarium and Nature Hike....

Rob set up our date night.  He signed us up for a 10K run at the Sumpter Ampitheater called Bands, Beers and Bonfires.  It was a beautiful night for a run, time well spent together and the bands, bonfires, moon light, beer and brats were delicious and enjoyable!

Definitely my kind of date night.  :)
