Celebrating Grace

New dress, new shoes, new talent of putting her own hair in a pony tail and beautiful flowers (that she likes to put in her hair, making her Momma melt!).... this calls for a photo shoot!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY GRACE!

Grace has been asking for a princess castle cake since her 4th birthday, and I'm serious! Last year, she requested this exact same one. We made cone cakes instead. I didn't have the heart or the energy to do this, then. She enjoyed her cone cakes but has talked about have the castle cake since. So this year we made it happen and it was GREAT!

We found the cake on howdini.com. Grace must have watched the 5 minute instructional video 10 times over the course of 2 days. It showed as we were putting the cake together and she had a few tips for me! :)

We bought creme wafers for the doors and windows and little candies for decoration. We used sugar cones for the towers, which we frosted and rolled in sprinkles.

Grace's finished Princess Castle! I was proud of us and she was so happy and excited about it! They also loved eating the scraps of cake that was left over from building.

We have a PARTY goin' on!!

Grace requested pizza for her birthday dinner. Here's some of it on Bella's face. YUM!

Anthony had been asking to eat the cake all through dinner (and before)! So Daddy asked him to tell us what was all on the cake, Anthony started to tell and got so excited as Daddy told him what else was all on the cake! The picture catches it perfectly!

More yummy pizza on anther cute, irresistible face! I had to get a picture before I reminded her to wash her face off. :)
